9 weeks

Emotionally, i am doing well just easily irritated I've noticed. Physically, the minimal nausea i was experiencing has pretty much gone away but i am having a lot of food aversions. (and not necessarily to certain foods but just to food in general) I've had a hard time with meals because i don't crave anything and nothing sounds appetizing. I've had my share of peanut butter sandwiches this week. Not because i crave it but because i don't cringe at the thought of eating it.

Baby Update:
Baby's now the size of a green olive! Your little embryo has now officially graduated to fetus-hood. Adding to the excitement, a Doppler ultrasound device might be able to pick up the beating heart. With basic physical structures in place and increasingly distinct facial features, baby is kind of starting to look like...well...a baby!

I'm not Paranoid...

So far this week i have had three different people come up to me at work and ask if i was pregnant! Which completely confirms my suspisions that other people at work know. (i had to tell certain nurses because of scheduling and patient assignment) Now, i'm not going to deny it if you ask so of course i confirmed their thoughts, but what takes the cake is that tonight a night shift nurse that i rarely have contact with congratulated me and in front of a few different people. I think next week it's time to make the announcement at work. I'm sure most of them already know anyway. So much for keeping the secret til my next appointment....

8 Weeks

Still feeling fine. Just really tired and bloated. I'm getting up 1-2 times a night to use the bathroom. Luckily i can fall back to sleep quickly. To tell you the truth, i don't think i'm fully awake when i get up. And i still need an afternoon nap at around 3-4pm. I feel like people at work are starting to think i may be pregnant. I don't know why but i do...It could just be me being paranoid. I have also noticed that i am very forgetful lately (for those of you that know me, more than usual). Oh and i had this really weird dream about the water cooler at work the other day. Very strange. um...maybe i need to drink more water....hmmm...

Baby update:
Baby's now the size of a raspberry!Baby is growing like mad, putting on about a millimeter every day and continuing to straighten out in the trunk. Though you can't feel it yet, baby is moving those little arms, legs, and (now only slightly) webbed fingers and toes like crazy.

7 Weeks

Feeling overall pretty good. Emotionally, getting more excited about the twins with each passing day. Physically, bloated and tired all the time. I had minimal nausea two days this week. Which i noticed occured in the morning on an empty stomach. Once i ate i felt better. Boobs are also definitely getting bigger and are super sore. Went to wear one of my sports bras to work today and was super uncomfortable all day. Guess it's now too small. Need to buy bigger ones.

Baby Update:
Baby's now the size of a blueberry! Baby's brain -- both hemispheres! -- is growing fast, generating about one hundred new cells every minute. Arms and legs are emerging as joints start to form, and a permanent set of kidneys (baby's third!) is now in place.

God works in mysterious ways...

First day back to work since i got the news...Had to float to NICU where i had to take care of a pair of twins (boy/girl) Got some of my questions answered by the mother. She was very nice and extremely helpful. It was exactly what i needed. Also spoke with one of my co-workers who recently had twins. Got the reassurance i needed. The thought of twins is slowly starting to sink in.
